What I find particularly crazy is the promise that innovative hypotheses can also be generated. That’s really a word….

When I think about how much time, diligence, energy (and often frustration) goes into a doctoral thesis and how much such work also contributes to personal development, I find it very difficult to think that an AI could soon be able to do this just as well (or possibly even better).

Well – but that’s the time we’re living in right now…
For example, I’ve just completed an AI project with my 5th semester to prompt a term paper and the results were (unfortunately) very good. From a heretical point of view, one could now ask what sense it makes to write something like this (or even a doctoral thesis) when an AI can achieve the same (or perhaps even a better) result in a fraction of the time.

𝗨𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗮̈𝘁𝘇𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗶 𝗵𝗮̈𝘂𝗳𝗶𝗴, 𝗱𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗵𝗿 𝗮𝘂𝗳 𝗱𝗮𝘀 𝗘𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗯𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘁, 𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝘂𝗳 𝗱𝗮𝘀, 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗳𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗮̈𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮, 𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝘀 “𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝘁”. 𝗪𝗶𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗹𝗻, 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗶 𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗹𝘂̈𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝘂̈𝗿 𝗸𝘂̈𝗻𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝘂̈𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗯𝗲𝗻 𝘇𝗶𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗸𝗼̈𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗻.

Perhaps AI will even help us to focus more on 𝗛𝗜 (𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲) again in this way. We shall see. In any case, I’m excited – in every respect – and want to work in exactly this direction.
